Dralt (played by Libertine) || May 24 2016, 12:01am
Dralt was prone to send letters as opposed to texts when matters were most severe. There was a personability to handwritten missives that he favored over expressionless pixels, though he would no doubt indulge Harlyn with the occasional Snapchat filter to lift her mood at the expense of his repute as a miserly old monster.
"Trying times draw nearer, Harlyn. Loft your chin and steel your stare. Greatness flows through your veins, and you must not allow the grim state of the world to dilute your determination.

"Anything you may need,
anything you may wish to know,
you need only ask. You have
become a part of something
great, Harlyn, and I would
not dare make the mistake
of sending you into this
world anew unprepared.""

"Thank you, Grandsire. I look forward to eternity with eager eyes, even if I'm not quite ready to deal with the less savory bits; though like stubborn Icarus I may fall, I know you'll be there to catch me if the sun burns too hot."

"Of course, child. Come sun or rain, I would keep your wings aloft."

A note would be left in the cabin, folded in half with "For Harlyns eyes only, Kasia." - Acaeus
Welcome to the family, Harlyn. I'm sorry she has made you in such a troubled time...if you need someone other then strong Kasia to lean on. Here is a summoning ritual, it will bring me to you immediately. Don't hesitate to use it, if you ever need it. Love you Niece! Merry Christmas!

She'd find the letter some few hours later after the fall of night, deft hands eager to open correspondence from her new Uncle. The words written in careful script took the fledgling aback, floored by the depth of his generosity and always surprised by his willingness to be of help. She read the instructions carefully with a smile, eyes alight with curiosity. A ritual! Magic of her own! This she would keep on her always, tucked safely into a pocket as insurance - just in case.

Calling you an angel is far easier than admitting I might be schizophrenic. And it suits you.

"Ma petit cherie..you should never self diagnose any psychosis..it'll only make you crazier than a bedbug in a housefire. And you already crazy, cause you sittin here a-talkin to your own self..

"Oh, good! That's comforting, real comforting. At least figments of my imagination have a sense of humor...
